Adviser Dismissed
CHEN Tiexin, a senior political adviser in northeast China’s Liaoning Province, has been expelled from the Party and dismissed from public office for graft.
Chen was vice chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
An investigation found Chen took advantage of his post to seek profits for others, accepted “a huge amount in bribes” and committed adultery, said a statement from the Party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Chen seriously violated Party discipline and is suspected of breaking the law, the statement said. His illegal gains have been confiscated and his case handed to prosecutors.
The Supreme People’s Procuratorate said an investigation is underway.
