Aim US$100b bilateral trade this year
TRADE between China and Russia registered a more than 20 percent growth last year from 2016 and there are still untapped potentials in the business cooperation between the two nations, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said yesterday.
“Between our two economies, trade now stands at about US$80 billion. I believe we can work together to bump it up to US$100 billion through innovation and tapping potential,” Li said.
He was speaking at a press conference after the conclusion of the annual national legislative session.
China and Russia are each other’s biggest neighbors and a stable bilateral relationship is in the interest of both countries and the world, the premier added.
