Air China launches new services to Yangon
AIR China, the country's leading carrier, said today that it had started two new flights to Myanmar's Yangon as traffic demand between the two countries soars.
The two are a direct Beijing-Yangon flight and a Chengdu-Kunming-Yangon route.
There are four flights every week between Beijing and Yangon, which are serviced by Boeing 737 aircraft, while the Chengdu-Kunming-Yangon flight is serviced on a daily basis by Airbus A320 aircraft.
Between 2010 and 2012, air traffic between Chinese cities and Yangon jumped 30 percent year on year on average.
