Airport gets ready to fly
THE first civilian flights from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport to northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will take off on February 22, it said last week. The destinations will be Kashgar and Shihezi in Xinjiang, and Zhengzhou, capital of central China’s Henan Province. The Shihezi airport was built by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, a semi-military organization based in the region.
