A-level circular issued for suspect in massage parlor killings
AN A-LEVEL wanted circular was issued for a man who allegedly killed six people and injured two others in a massage parlor in Hunan Province on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Security said today.
A reward of 50,000 yuan (US$7,310) has been offered to people who provide information that leads to the capture and conviction of suspect Zhang Chengyu, a native of Zhangjiajie City.
Zhang, 39, was suspected of killing five women and one child at a massage parlor that provided sex services in Changsha City, capital of Hunan, according to a Sanxiang City Express report.
The massage parlor owner was seriously injured and her child was slightly hurt in the killing spree at around 5am on Sunday in Changsha's Wangcheng County.
Zhang has a criminal record and had used the name Zhang Hucheng before, the report said.
Pools of blood were found in a lane beside the massage parlor and police dogs were sent to the site to help track the suspect.
A quarrel broke out in the first-floor massage parlor and minutes later a cry for help was heard, a neighbor surnamed Li living opposite the massage parlor was cited as saying in a Nanjing-based Modern Express report yesterday.
A landlord on the second floor found the bodies and asked his nephew to call police.
Neighbors told the newspaper that the massage parlor opened less than two months ago and provided sex services, according to Modern Express.
Police took away the family of the landlord for questioning, the report said.
Police are still investigating the case.
