All passengers safely evacuated after bus catches fire in Liaoning

A LEAKY gasoline pump caused a bus fire in northeast China's Liaoning Province this morning, police said. All 30 passengers were safely evacuated.

The No. 205 bus, headed toward the rail station in the provincial capital of Liaoning, was evacuated by the driver.

He used a fire extinguisher to try to put out the blaze, which was finally extinguished by firefighters.

A fatal bus blaze in the southwest Sichuan Province on June 5 killed 27 people and injured 74 others.

An investigation found that someone had brought gasoline aboard the vehicle.
