Another Foxconn worker falls to death in Shenzhen
ANOTHER employee of Foxconn Technology Group's plant in south China's Shenzhen City fell to death this morning, months after a series of such deaths that occurred in the company in the first half of this year.
The death was confirmed by the municipal government. No further information was immediately available.
Prior to this, 10 Foxconn workers in Shenzhen died by jumping off from buildings in the company's plants.
The company, which supplies Sony, Apple and Nokia with IT components, offered a dramatic wage hike -- nearly 70 percent -- to some of its 400,000 assembly line workers in Shenzhen after the deaths.
