Another man was detained in Shaanxi Province for making false bomb threats.
The man, an intern at a hospital in Xi’an, posted a note on a popular online chat room on Wednesday, claiming he would bomb subway Line 1. The suspect, surnamed Liu, posted pictures of metro Line 1 and described his plans to bomb the subway that set off a panic reaction in the city.
Liu later gave himself up to police. An investigation revealed that Liu sought to gain influence and fame on the chat room with the threat.
