Approvals process to be further streamlined

China is to further streamline administrative approvals and delegate power to lower levels. It will take more measures to deepen reforms on approvals, said a statement yesterday after a State Council meeting presided over by Premier Li Keqiang.

Transparency will be highlighted and all procedures needing approval should be publicized so society can better supervise the government, the statement said.

This year, another 70 procedures will be freed from administrative approval or delegated to lower levels.
