Armored vehicle runs amok in Chongqing, killing 4

AN armored personnel carrier lost control on Sunday and ploughed into people on a sidewalk in Chongqing, killing four and wounding several others. The incident has triggered an outpouring of anger on the Internet.
The official Xinhua News Agency yesterday clarified the online rumor and said the vehicle was a prototype built by a civilian factory in Chongqing and was in a test drive.
Chongqing police have detained the driver for the fatal accident which happened in the city's Ba'nan District.
Three people died at the scene and one was pronounced dead at the hospital. Others sustained minor injuries.
