At least 105 sickened by gas leak
AT least 105 people were sickened in a chemical plant gas leak in northwest China's Gansu Province on Monday, doctors said yesterday.
Doctors from two hospitals in Gansu's capital of Lanzhou said 105 people had sought treatment by yesterday but none was showing serious symptoms.
Nine people had been placed under medical observation, doctors said.
The accident took place about 10pm on Monday as workers were refining waste oil at the Feilong Chemical Co in Lanzhou's Xigu District.

Dozens of students from two adjacent schools immediately experienced burning in their eyes and difficulty in breathing. School authorities called police for help.
Several thousand students and residents were evacuated.
