At least seven dead in China kindergarten attack

AT least six children and a teacher were hacked to death and 20 others injured in a violent attack at a kindergarten in northwest China's Shaanxi Province this morning, local authorities said.
The incident happened at about 8 am at a kindergarten in Nanzheng County of Hanzhong City, said Liu Xiaoming, a publicity official in Hanzhong.
"The injured have been rushed to hospital," he said.
Liu had earlier said seven children were killed, but later told Xinhua a teacher is among the dead.
"The murderer has killed himself," Wu Xiaoyan, a publicity official in Nanzheng, told Xinhua.
No further details were provided.
It was the fifth such attack against school children in less than two months. The country has taken measures to boost campus security in recent weeks.
Experts have blamed pressures caused by modern society for the string of attacks.
