Baby's hand caught in subway door

A ten-month-old baby's hand got caught in a subway train door during the morning rush today, causing a short delay in the train service.

The Metro operator said the baby was taken to hospital for check-up.

The incident happened at about 8:55am on Line 1 as the doors closed shut before the train was due to leave the station.

A witness said the train's emergency alarm was triggered so that the baby's hand could be safely freed from the door.

The train was delayed for about three minutes during the incident.
