Beijing TV host found dead downstairs by police entering his home for drug search
BEIJING Municipal Public Security Bureau have announced that a Beijing TV host, Bian Ce, was using drugs at home Wednesday evening and found dead downstairs outside the residential building by police who managed to enter his flat for investigation.
Police went to search his apartment located on the eighth floor after receiving tips and upon entering found an open window and Bian's body downstairs on the ground floor.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Legal Evening News, the TV host was a 32 year old man named Bian Ce.
A further investigation is underway.
Bian is the latest celebrity to be ensnared in one of China's biggest anti-drug crackdowns in two decades. Last year, Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan spent six months in detention in Beijing after found in possession of drugs.
