Beijing police probe ‘Uniqlo’ sex tape

Police in Beijing are investigating a video that went viral on Chinese social networks of a man and woman apparently engaging in sexual activity in the changing room of a clothing store in the capital.

The steamy film, in which the woman appears totally naked as the man issues instructions to her, appears to have been shot on a smartphone in the flagship outlet of Japanese retailer Uniqlo in the Sanlitun area.

At one point in the action, an in-store radio announcement that mentions the shop by name can be clearly heard.

The retailer issued a statement yesterday denying any involvement in the video after claims were made online that it was a promotional gimmick.

“We would like to remind the public to uphold social morality and use our fitting rooms in a correct and proper way,” the company said in the statement.

“We also firmly deny some online allegations saying the video is our marketing gimmick.”
