Beijing shuts 48 nightclubs for sex service

Three high-end nightclubs are among the 48 entertainment venues shut down in a recent crackdown on safety violations, prostitution and porn activities, Beijing police said.
The three renowned Beijing nightclubs, named Mingheng, Youtang and China Town, engaged in prostitution, while four karaoke bars staged porn shows, including striptease dancing, police said.
Beijing police also closed six clubs for security loopholes after receiving people's complaints and vowed zero tolerance in their fight against illegal activities in entertainment venues.
