CHINA and Switzerland have pledged to better develop their innovative strategic partnership and jointly oppose trade protectionism.
At talks between President Xi Jinping and Swiss counterpart Doris Leuthard, it was also agreed to align development strategies and strengthen cooperation in promoting China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Xi said China is ready to discuss cooperation in infrastructure construction, insurance and other areas to promote the initiative.
Leuthard said Switzerland is willing to deepen cooperation in areas including trade, finance, culture and tourism.
