Big reward offered for suspect in cop assault

A REWARD of 100,000 yuan (US$14,706) is being offered by the public security department of northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province for information that leads to the arrest of a man who stole a policeman's gun.
Wang Houjun allegedly assaulted a railway policeman and stole his gun in Daowai District of the provincial capital of Harbin on May 5 this year, the department said.
It is asking for clues to catch the suspect, northeast.com.cn, the portal Website of Heilongjiang, reported yesterday.
Wang, 38, is 1.72 meters high of medium build and has dark skin. He has short hair and white patches on his arms and legs, the department said.
Wang was wearing battle fatigues and blue jeans and gloves at the time of the alleged assault. He rides a red motorcycle.
