Bounty offered for the arrest of killer gunman

POLICE are offering an award of 50,000 yuan (US$ 7624.75) for tip-offs that will lead to the arrest of a man who shot and killed a man and injured five others in front of a hotel in southern Guangdong Province.
Guangdong police today said they have identified 26-year-old Fang Dilong to be a member of a mafia-style group who allegedly killed a 32-year-old man surnamed Chen and injured Chen's three friends, a passer-by and a security guard of the Wenchang Hotel in Huilai County around 2am on Monday.
The local New Express Daily said Chen and his friends walked out of the hotel and were waving goodbye to each other when Fang suddenly opened fire at them from a van.
One of Chen's friends, also injured in attack, said he quickly hid behind a pillar and dared not to emerge until gunfire stopped. Chen was shot in head and lying in a pool of blood. He was pronounced dead in hospital later.
Fang and his fellow gang members fled the scene immediately.
Doctors found 20 bullets in the head of another victim who is still in critical condition.
Chen's friends said they had no clue about the assassination. Chen was the father of five children and had no enemies, he added.
