Domestic action movie “Wolf Warrior 2” topped the Chinese box office in the week ending August 6, grossing 2.2 billion yuan (US$ 321 million). Domestic romance “Once upon a Time” as in second place on 425 million yuan. “The Founding of an Army,” depicting the Chinese revolutionary war, was in third place, earning 129 million yuan. Animation “Despicable Me 3” was fourth, generating 27 million yuan. Rounding out the top five was domestic animation “Dear Tutu,” which grossed 13 million yuan.
