Boy carries voice recorder to kindergarten

A mother in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province placed a voice recorder in her two-year-old son's pocket every day as she suspected the teacher abused her son, today's Qianjiang Evening News reported.

The woman surnamed Ji said she found bruises in her son's body in early November and suspected the teacher had beaten him. The boy also seemed reluctant to go to school afterwards.

Though the kindergarten denied her allegation, she was not convinced and hid a digital voice recorder with long battery life in her son's pocket to collect "evidences," the paper said.

The boy's teacher, surnamed Du, found it on November 28 when the recorder fell to the ground. Since then, Ji stopped sending her child to the kindergarten.

"I did hear crying and beating in the recording," Ji said.

The kindergarten leader said Du sometimes uttered her words loudly. "It's normal for the teacher to scold disobedient children but she never beat them," the leader said.

Du also denied physically punishing her students. She graduated from a normal college last year and just obtained her teacher license, the paper said.
