Boy dies during afternoon nap at kindergarten

POLICE are investigating the case of a three-and-a-half-year boy who died during a nap at a kindergarten in Guangdong Province.
The boy Guo Junlin, was found dead when teachers called children to wake up at Xintaiyang Kindergarten at 2:30pm on Wednesday in Dongguan City, Guangzhou Daily reported today.
The teachers called a guard, identified by his surnamed Zhong, who said Guo was not breathing and his body stiff when they found him.
The cause of death has yet to be determined by autopsy, according to Dongguan police. Preliminary investigation showed the boy had been dead for one hour before teachers discovered him.
The boy was living with his aunt as his parents work in Shenzhen, the report said.
His aunt told the newspaper that Guo was in good health and nothing special had happened on the day he died.
The boy had some fried turnip with pork for lunch before getting to sleep, according to kindergarten teachers, the report said.
