Boy found 3 months after his abduction

THREE baby snatchers were detained in Puyang in central Henan Province and the boy they grabbed from his great grandfather was rescued and returned to his parents on Sunday, the local Dahe Daily reported today.

Puyang police learned that the 3-year-old Xiao Ming was taken out for a walk by his great grandfather when they were stopped by two men from a black Santana car on August 3 this year.

The two men wearing flu masks hit the old man unconscious and took the boy away in their car. One witness said there were three men in the car.

After more than three months of investigation, police nabbed two men surnamed Liu and Song, and the third man surnamed Lin turned himself in on Monday.

The three men confessed that they sold Xiao Ming to a family in Huaxian County for 36,000 yuan (US$5,660).

Puyang police then went to the family in Shahetou Village and found the missing boy.
