Boy loses teeth after teacher slaps him

A first-grader in Dongguan, Guangdong Province was sent to the hospital after a teacher almost knocked his two front teeth off, local media reported.
The student, surnamed Li, in Daojiao Century School, was frolicking with classmates when his teacher, who was not identified, called him to her desk and told him to stop disturbing others. The boy didn't behave and the teacher called him back and slapped him in the face four times before asking him to return to his seat.
Upon noticing the child was bleeding, she immediately called the boy's mother. When asked what had happened, the teacher said she had accidentally struck her son while taking measurements for his uniform. However, the boy later revealed that he was slapped for his behavior.
The boy had his two loose front teeth removed in the hospital. The school principal said while the boy did misbehave, the school does not condone such punishment by its teachers. The teacher has been reprimanded and has had her monthly bonus taken away.
The principal said the school would transfer the boy to another class and discuss compensation with his parents.
