Boy plummets to death as windows fixed to prevent falls

A 4-YEAR-OLD boy fell from an apartment in Hefei City yesterday morning and died as parents were having window protection nets installed to prevent such accidents.
The boy fell through a window of his 18th-floor home about 10:30am yesterday, Hefei Evening News reported.
The boy was pronounced dead from severe head injuries despite efforts to revive him.
A relative told the newspaper the family was having some anti-fall protection nets installed on the windows when the mishap took place.
A worker had just removed the glass from one window to install the protection net shortly before the fall.
