Boy survives fall trying to fly like hero

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy survived an eight-story fall after he tried to fly like his favorite Japanese cartoon hero Ultraman.
The boy is now in hospital with severe bruises and collapsed lungs in central China's Wuhan city in Hubei Province, reported Wuhan Evening News today.
A neighbor said she was shocked when she saw him fall, but when she rushed to his aid, the boy was perfectly able to speak clearly to tell her he had just jumped from his eighth-floor home.
The boy's mother surnamed Wang said he loved to watch the Japanese cartoon Ultraman and was always talking about getting a pair of wings to fly like his hero. He jumped while holding a yoga ball, which may have saved his life by cushioning the fall, the report said.
