Breakthrough Over Seized Ship
PIRATES said yesterday they may release Chinese ship "De Xin Hai" next week.
The bulk vessel was seized in mid-October with 25 Chinese crew and 76,000 tons of coal.
"Negotiations between us and the owners to free the Chinese ship are going on now," a pirate named Mohamed told Reuters from the pirate stronghold of Haradheere. "We agreed on US$3.5 million to free the ship."
