Bribery Charges
LI Tangtang, former vice chairman of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, went on trial at Chongqing No. 5 Intermediate People's Court yesterday on bribery charges.
Prosecutors said Li, 56, took more than 7.68 million yuan (US$1.17 million) between 1998 and 2009, during which time he held several posts in Shaanxi Province.
