Building collapse kills 6 workers, injures 7

SIX workers died when an unfinished office building in southern Guangdong Province collapsed yesterday afternoon. Seven workers were injured in the accident and one of them was in critical condition.
The collapsed building belongs to the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Shanwei City. The cave-in happened at about 4pm yesterday, China News Agency reported today.
Nine floors of the office building had already been constructed and the collapse occurred on the right side of the building between the ninth and fourth floors, the report said.
Police and ambulances arrived immediately and all the victims were pulled from the rubble by 9pm.
