Bus carrying tourists plunges into Tibetan river
A bus believed to be carrying dozens of tourists plunged into a river after its tire burst about 11am today near Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, China News Service reported.
A witness said more than 10 people had been pulled from the Niyang River but their condition remained unclear, according to the report.
The bus was en route to Linzhi when the left, front tire burst. The driver lost control and the bus plunged into the river.
The report also said many suitcases could be seen floating in the river.
Police and other rescue personnel are at the scene, according to China News Service.
