Bus falls into river in highway crash, 1 dead, 3 injured

ONE passenger was confirmed dead and three others were injured after their bus collided with a truck and fell into a river this morning near Yuyao City in eastern Zhejiang Province.
The accident happened around 6am when the bus with 29 people on it was running on a highway. A large, stretched truck running in the opposite direction suddenly lurched into the path of the bus and rammed the bus into a roadside river, according to a local news website, zjol.com.cn.
The three wounded passengers are now in stable condition, said the Yuyao City People's Hospital.
Other passengers have been rescued and brought to a shelter, the report said.
Police have detained the truck driver for investigation, it said.
