A butcher in southern China beheaded a rival butcher and then stabbed himself in the stomach because he thought his rival was sleeping with his wife.
The attacker surnamed Feng died soon after he was rushed to hospital in Foshan City in Guangdong Province. The victim was surnamed Zhen.
The 55-year-old Feng allegedly jumped from his booth to Zhen's with a boning knife. He knocked Zhen, 62, out with a knife sharpener, fixed his head on a chopping block with a hook, and chopped Zhen's neck with a meat cleaver more than ten times until his head came off, according to the report.
Feng then stabbed himself in the stomach with a long knife. City police said the knife went more than 10 centimeters into his belly, almost all the way through his body.
Other booth owners said Feng always talked about Zhen sleeping with his wife and threatened to kill Zhen several days ago.
Yet the police said it is unlikely that Feng was unlikely to be having an affair because of his age. The police said the case is still under investigation.
