Buyers crowd winning lottery seller
THE shop which sold China's biggest winning lottery ticket last week has become a mecca for players from all around the country hoping to strike it lucky.
A tour group to Anyang City, Henan Province, yesterday visited the shop which sold the winning ticket, worth 359.9 million yuan (US$52 million), and took pictures, according to Henan Business Daily today.
"The outlet was not on the tour schedule, yet the tourists insisted on sharing in the luck," said the group's guide surnamed Jia.
Each tourist bought at least three lottery tickets, according to shop owner Chen Guixia.
Chen said her customers have nearly doubled every day after media coverage of the lottery winner, who remains anonymous.
