A car lurched forth into a roadside bank in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, this noon, injuring a customer, Xinhua reported.
The accident forced the ICBC office on Dalian Road to suspend business and move cash to a safe place.
Initial investigation showed the driver mistakenly stepped on the accelerator and the car's gas tank leaked in the crash, Xinhua said.
The driver was detained for investigation and the injured customer was treated in hospital.
