Seven people died and four others were injured due to carbon monoxide poisoning in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local authorities said on Monday.
A power failure occurred at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday and caused a forcing fan to stop working in a mine in Erdos City, according to the regional work safety department.
A further investigation into the accident is under way.
