Central China's Hunan Province reports its first H7N9 case
Health authorities in central China's Hunan Province today confirmed the province's first human case of H7N9 avian influenza.
The patient, who has been admitted to a local hospital, is reported to hail from the Tonggu County, east China's Jiangxi Province. Jiangxi has just confirmed its first human case of H7N9 bird flu on Friday, who is a 69-year-old man and in critical condition.
The Hunan Province government is scheduled to hold a news release later this evening to reveal more information on the province's first H7N9 patient.
Meanwhile, six H7N9 patients today were discharged from a hospital in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, after making full recovery, according to Xinhua News Agency.
