Chemical spill contaminates China river, drinking water affected

WATER utility companies along the Fuchun River in east China's Zhejiang Province stopped drawing water from the river at noon today following a chemical spill in its upper reaches.
The spill happened at around 3am today when a tanker truck carrying tetrachloroethane overturned on a road in Tonglu County and some of its chemicals flowed into the Fuchun River.
