Chemical storage on fire in E China, casualties unknown
A chemical storage in east China's Jiangsu Province caught fire Friday morning.
Rescuers told Xinhua that a fire occurred around 9 am at the storage site. A tank exploded later with a suffocating smell that forced rescuers to retreat from the site.
No casualties were reported and rescuers were still trying to get the blaze under control as of noon.
Video footage from the provincial public security bureau showed smog billowed from the storage site and several fire engines tried to put out the fire.
