Chengde to retore heat supply after boiler failure
HEATING supplies to homes in Chengde, a city in north China's Hebei Province, is expected to resume by noon today, China Radio reported this morning.
A spokeman for Luanhe Power Plant, which generates both electricity and heat for local homes, said workers had almost finished repairing the two faulty boilers which would soon operate as normal.
The mechanic failure of the two boilers caused a one-day shutdown of of the city's central heating system.
