WU Shu-chen, wife of former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian, has been hospitalized with low blood pressure on the eve of the hearing that will determine whether her husband is freed from police detention, according to reports. She and her husband are facing graft charges.
Chen has been held in a suburban Taipei detention center since late last year. A Taipei court is expected to rule today on whether he can be released on bail.
