Chimney accident kills 12

TWELVE workers died and 11 were injured in northern China's Tianjin Municipality last night as they were building a chimney, according to a Tianjin-based Enorth.com.cn report today.
The workers were installing the flue in the chimney for the Tianjin Bohua Yongli Thermal Power Co in the Tianjin Harbor Industrial Park when the flue collapsed.
Zhang Gaoli, Party Secretary of Tianjin Municipality, and Mayor Huang Xingguo rushed to the site to begin investigations.
The injured workers were taken to hospital and are in a stable condition.
