China Extends Its Condolences
PRESIDENT Hu Jintao yesterday extended condolences over the two deadly subway blasts in Moscow.
In a telegram to Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, Hu said China strongly condemned the terrorist attacks, and supported Russia's efforts in combating terrorism and safeguarding national security.
The Chinese Embassy in Moscow and the Russian Foreign Ministry said no Chinese people had died or were injured in the explosions.
Three foreigners were injured in the subway attacks, two from Malaysia and one from the Philippines whose condition was critical, the Interfax news agency reported.
