China Pavilion Day at Expo Yeosu marked with art show

THE Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea is celebrating the China Pavilion Day today. Chinese artists staged a performance in the Expo Hall this morning with Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Qishan in the audience.

Well-known Shanghai artists, tenor Liao Changyong and dancer-choreographer Huang Doudou, joined the performance. Huang impressed Korean viewers with the dance "Spirit of Terra Cotta Warriors."

Expo Yeosu runs from May 12 to August 12. More than 2 million people have visited the Expo with a theme of "The Living Ocean and Coast."

An adult ticket costs 33,000 won (US$28.6). The organizing committee said yesterday that it will lower the ticket price for individual students and seniors aged over 64 to attract more visitors.
