China Says It Supports US-North Korea Talks
CHINA welcomes dialogue between Washington and Pyongyang, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said yesterday.
He was responding to a question about an announcement by US President Barack Obama that special envoy Stephen Bosworth would be sent to the North Korean capital next month for bilateral talks.
"We hope their dialogue will help resume the six-party talks at an early date, facilitate the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and safeguard peace and stability," Qin said.
