China calls for tighter security
THE head of China's anti-terrorism leading group yesterday called for public security forces across the country to be on high alert.
Guo Shengkun said at a televised meeting that in the wake of the Paris attacks, forces across China should focus on "important venues,"where there should be an increased number of patrols and tighter security checks.
Guo also stressed strict management of guns, explosives and mail, as well as timely conflict resolution among the public to prevent violence and extremism.
