Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the symposium will look at the past 40 years since the launch of China’s reform and opening-up.
China experts and academics coming from countries including Britain, the Netherlands, France, the United States and India, together with Chinese scholars, are attending the event.
The symposium features on three topics, namely new concepts for China’s development and new prospects for international cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative and common development, and the Chinese culture and a community with a shared future for humanity.
The scholars will head to Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang Province, tomorrow for inspections related to China’s internet economy and the building of townships that focus on the development of certain industries.
