China to speed up building a cyber force
China will speed up the development of a cyber force to tackle "grave security threats" to its cyber infrastructure, said a military white paper Tuesday.
Cyberspace is highlighted as one of China's four "critical security domains", other than the ocean, outer space and nuclear force, by the report titled "China's Military Strategy".
International strategic competition in cyberspace has become increasingly fiercer and quite a few countries have developed their cyber military forces, notes the report, published by the State Council Information Office.
It stresses that China is one of the major victims of hacker attacks.
China will enhance its capabilities of cyberspace situation awareness, cyber defense, support for the country's endeavors in cyberspace and participation in international cyber cooperation, so as to stem major cyber crises, ensure national network and information security, and maintain national security and social stability.
