China urges mutual trust in Asia-Pacific

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman urged the US to promote mutual trust in the Asia-Pacific region, where both sides have extensive common interests.
At a press briefing, Qin Gang said China and the US should respect each other, enhance cooperation and make joint efforts with other countries to promote regional peace, stability and prosperity. The US and relevant countries in the region should follow the people’s desire for peaceful development, Qin said.
