China’s hopes for TPP

CHINA hopes the Trans-Pacific Partnership can be transparent and open and contribute to free trade and investment along with other arrangements in the region, Shen Danyang, a Ministry of Commerce spokesman, said yesterday.
He told reporters China had been following TPP negotiations and assessing progress.
TPP is one of the most important free trade agreements in the Asia-Pacific region, the ministry spokesman said.
The deal will have huge effects on world trade and the investment framework and economic integration in the region.
