Chinese, Russian presidents meet on sidelines of G20 summit
CHINESE President Hu Jintao met his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev yesterday for talks aimed at further cementing their countries' strategic cooperative partnership.
Hu said he was glad to see the Russian president again in their third meeting since the beginning of the year to discuss bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
This year, leaders of the two countries have maintained the momentum of exchange of visits, and both countries have been working hard to implement the consensus reached by the two leaders to boost the strategic cooperative partnership, Hu said.
China is pleased to see the progress and achievements in bilateral relations with Russia, he said.
The meeting between the presidents was held on the sidelines of a Group of 20 (G20) Summit that begins yesterday in Toronto, Canada.
